Covid

Updates

Phase 3 ~ Yeah

Per Middletown health department we now can have 75% capacity in the salon, we can blow-drying, and each stylist can have two guests at one time as long as all clients are socially distanced. Our focus is always on providing a safe and clean salon for our guests.

We have implemented extra precautions along side our state’s guidelines along with our own prevention strategy. We have implemented these in order to protect you, our team, and our community.

We will also be observing social distancing during this time as best as we can so please stay 6 ft away from people if you can. Out of an abundance of caution, please reschedule any appointments if you are not feeling well, have been out of the country in the past three weeks, or have been around someone suspected of or confirmed with Covid-19. Our team will be do the same if they are not feeling well or have been in contact with someone suspected of or confirmed with Covid-19

here are some steps we are taking to protect you:

  • We are frequently disinfecting common use surfaces -all touch points such as doorknobs, reception areas, credit card terminals, faucets light switches, etc.

  • We will also be performing a deeper clean once a week.

  • We no longer have a waiting area. please bring anything you may want to us at this time.

  • We can not have food or drinks in the salon because you would have to remove your mask.

  • Retail products shelves are enclosed. Please ask your stylist to get your favorite products before checkout.

  • We will be asking everyone to use our sanitation station upon entering the salon.

  • All of our stylists will be wearing a mask while servicing guests.

  • Curtain barriers are being placed around the salon in order to limit the amount of contact between people where there is not 6 feet of distance between them.

  • All guest contact info is being updated for contact tracing purposes.

  • We have added extra time between appointments to allow for extra cleaning and checkout time between guests.

I would like to share with you some of the extra steps our guests will be required to follow until the state relaxes their guidelines someday:

  • Only the guest that is receiving the service will be allowed in the salon at this time. The only exception is if the guest must be accompanied by a caregiver or a guardian.

  • When arriving for your appointment, guests will text 860-335-8456 to check in. We will text you when your stylist is ready for you.

  • All guests are to bring and wear a mask at all times inside the salon. Please bring a mask that you are ok if it gets color on it.

  • We will be accepting guests by appointment only for a while. Walk-ins for the current day, can call or text for availability of that day.

touchless tipping. We will provide these in an e-mail before we open.

  1. Temporary Safety Fee

1. 2.

Unfortunately a $5 safety fee will be charged at checkout due to the increased cost of service and goods needed to perform services during this time.

It has been a long time since we had you in our chair. Most guests will be coming in with excess regrowth. We will discuss options to get your color process back on track. Product/color upcharges will be applied as needed due to the unfortunate length of time between visits and extra product/time needed. Thank you for understanding.

  1. A 48 hour cancellation policy is requested to help with limited openings

    and reduced schedule for distancing.

Our team is fully barbicide certified and will be following all the guidelines, mandates and state regulations on sanitation and safety. We are committed to the health of our community, employees and guests.

This has been a very difficult time for our industry. Thank you for your patience during this unusual time.

COVID19 has made us all lose our sense of normalcy.  At KR Styles our clients comfort, safety and satisfaction is a priority.  The health department has passed us with flying colors regarding cleanliness and sanitation.

-Our stations are placed 6 ft apart and we have installed dividers anywhere that is not

-Antibacterial Soap and Hand Sanitizer will be readily available to all customers and staff

-Masks will be worn by clients and customers except where there is a medical exception

-Prior to your appt, all surfaces of our work stations will be disinfected as well as the equipment and materials have been in contact with any customers (chairs, tables, sinks, capes, scissors, etc). This will happen between each client and may require additional appt time so please be patient.

-Due to CDC recommendations, we will be unable to provide beverages or magazines at this time. Please plan accordingly.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and your patience. All of you have been beyond supportive and patient during our shut down and we firmly believe we have the best clients and customers a business could ask for. Thank you for your continued loyalty and support! We cannot wait to see each of you back at Hair Zone!

Thank you for your time and patronage,

Nicole LaTerra

Increase Price

We have always avoided unnecessary price increases for our clients but due to the increase of cost of business post COVID, our prices will have to reflect these rising costs. (product cost, shipping cost, sanitation cost, service limitations, etc) Thank you in advance for your understanding.

the increase is due to the additional effort and cost it now takes for you to operate your business safely.

We have all been through very strange times and we know it has affected everyone finically just like it has us. But for us to open our salon and to operate safely and viably the price structure does need to change.

What we can do thou is reduce the cost of retail take home care products, You will be able to receive 15% off all retail whilst we are running at a lower capacity.

My team and I can’t wait to see you on the other side, it has been to long!

OUR NEW PRICING STRUCTURE EXPLAINED

As you all know we have been closed for a total of 15 weeks. This has been a huge hit for us finically as a company and we are lucky that we can start trading again on July 6th (which we are super excited about) But with that, comes a lot of changes to how we used to operate. We will be releasing an increasing amount of information on our website to explain exactly how we will be running the salon for the foreseeable future. But for now, this briefly tells you why prices have had to change.

WHY HAVE PRICES HAD TO GO UP?

  1. We are running at a lower capacity than we usually do

  2. All hair cutting services have been extended by 10-15 minutes so we can minimise your contact with team members at all times, your chosen stylist will welcome you, shampoo you, perform your chosen service, take payment from you and when you leave we then need to sanitise your chair and work station as well as all equipment we have used ready for the next client.

  3. We have only put our colour prices up by 3-5% which is due more to the rising cost of product. For at least the first month a cut and finish or blow-dry needs to be added to a colour service. We will revise this later down the line.
